A Little Inspiration: Stop and Smell the Roses

Hey My Lovelies!  Lately, life has been going pretty fast for me, so much so that I've had a cold for a week and a terrible reaction to a shot that had me pretty sick for a whole day. I've also been beyond tired, which has caused me to get a little behind on some things.  I could blame the weather, or even the shot for feeling terrible, but I won't.  This is mostly because I know that those aren't the only reasons my body has been a little out of whack lately.

In fact I happen to know that when I get too busy, and I don't rest like I'm supposed to, my body pretty much forces me to.  I am committed to improving my life daily so that I can know when to keep going, and when to stop and smell the roses.  I think we all get really busy and preoccupied sometimes, so much so that we forget to stop and smell the roses or to just simply relax and give our bodies time to rest.

It's so important to sit down and relax, not only to give our bodies rest, but also so that we can sit down and look at how far we've come and all that we've accomplished.  Today I encourage you to make it a point take in every moment and enjoy each little success. Schedule times of stillness, because it is in these times that creativity and inspiration are breed, and they are just the fuel we need to carry on!

How often to you stop and smell the roses?

  1. I agree. My body will always tell me when I've had enough...in fact just this last week. Life can be hectic and seems like "something" is always calling my name. Go here. Do this. Don't forget...wait where's my list? And sadly those lists never say...take time to smell the roses. Today is that day...Fantastic Post! I hope you are feeling better.

  2. Your right! Now that I am graduating, I'm always pushing myself to far by getting my application in on time, and passing my class. I'm definitely taking your advice and stop to take a breather. Hope you feel better soon.
