Memoirs of a Good Girl Gone Glam

Entry 1: I just had an epiphany, I need to go to Tiffany's...

School, work, internship. School, work, internship. School, work, internship.

I always felt like there had to be more to life.  3 years ago I had an epiphany, and it hit me like a ton of bricks.  The world I lived in and the world I wanted to live in had finally collided; I was left with one foot in each, and I was fine with that!

I come from a small town where dreams of anything other than a "real job" are not exactly encouraged; they're more like urban legends. . I had become a robot. I did what was expected of me, I did what was perceived as successful, and I was successful at it, but I was empty.  I wanted to be doing something bigger and I felt like I was put here to do something greater.

As luck would have it, I had recently become obsessed with Drake (he's cute, but I was actually more obsessed with his drive).  I decided to take a trip down memory lane and watch all of the old Degrassi episodes.  As I watched the shoes I somehow stumbled across a blog that one of the cast members, Andrea, had with her best friend Shannon called Those Girls Are Wild.

My life changed the day I found this blog!  Besides the fact that it was funny, informative, and intriguing, to me it represented a world full of new possibilities.  That day I decided I wanted to be a blogger.  More importantly I decided I would live the life of my dreams.  I was a Good Girl Gone Glam...in the making.

To anyone reading this that is currently sleep walking through life, I encourage you to wake up!  Let this be your epiphany! Know that whatever you dream of is within your reach. In the words of Jack Canfield, everything you want also wants you!  Don't let others build your life, because you are the one that has to live it!  Today, all you have to do is choose the kind of life you want to live.  That's the first step, and if you can take the first step then the hardest part is over!

Are you living the life of your dreams? What made you start following your dreams?
