How to Pay it Forward {Guides}

For those of you who've been following my blog you've probably noticed by now that I am somewhat of an undercover yogi. Initially I tried to hide it because I never thought people wanted to read about positive thinking love, gratitude, etc.., and I didnt know if it would have a place here on my lifestyle and fashion blog. Then it clicked for me and I realized that love, gratitude and all positive things are very much so a part life.

 I always encourage others to be themselves and at this point in my life I feel completely comfortable being myself, positive yogi ways and all! With that being said I wanted to share with you how to pay it forward! I am always talking about paying it forward and have had this post laying around for some time now. I thought it was a sign to share this post with you seeing as how Beyonce shared her own ideas on how to pay it forward for World Humanitarian Day (8.19.12). Learn how to pay it forward below and pin the quick guide for safe keeping.

{How to Pay it Forward}

Why do it: To brighten someone's day.

Paying it forward is all about spreading love, sending out positive energy, and doing some kind, unexpectedly, for someone else. It' s all about being the light in someone's day! You never know what someone is going through and what affect your kindness can have on them.

How often: As much as possible.

Paying it forward feels good. It's an amazing feeling to know that you may be the reason someone's day went from horrible to fabulous! Do it as often as possible. Remember, what goes around comes around, and there's nothing like positive energy and good deeds coming back around!

What to do:

1. Select a random act of kindness

A random act of kindness can be anything.

RAK ideas:

Buy someone flowers
Pay for the person's meal behind you in the drive thru
Give someone a thank you card
Donate clothes
Buy someone groceries and leave them on the doorstep
Put money in mailboxes

2. Select a random person (including ppl you know and love).

Doing something nice for a stranger may feel awkward at first, but you'll love it once you get used to it.  Start with family and friends, but don't tell them what you plan to do. Surprise them! Everyone loves a good surprise. By surprising them you'll make them feel special and good to know that someone thought enough of them to gift them with a kind gesture.

3. Perform your random act of kindness

There's nothing to it but to do it! Once you've decided who's day you want to brighten and how, go out there and do it. Hopefully someone else will notice and decide to perform a good deed too and the goodness and love will continue to have a snowball effect!

  2. It's so true, people only ever do nice things if they expect nice things done in return.
    I hope loads of people take your advice, I'll certainly try to
