Hey Loves & Happy Monday! I'd be lying to you all if I said I was happy all the time and I never had a case of the Mondays! Honestly, if I had it my way I'd have four day weekends and work for myself as a full time blogger. Even though I know that day will come, it hasn't quite arrived yet so when I get a case of the Mondays I seem to have a total LACK of motivation. Laziness sets in before I know it and I've wasted a whole day. The funny thing is, I actually get a case of the Mondays on Sunday afternoon! I know, terrible...but I know I can't be the only one so I'm always looking for ways to beat the laziness that seems to overtake my body from time to time, but especially on Mondays.
I've been able to find some fun and easy ways to get over my laziness. I thought that by getting this conversation started you all would be able to help me and find some ways that may work for you as well. Below I'm sharing with you 5 ways that will help you beat the "lazies." Check them out and be sure to add what works for you!
How to Beat the Lazies
❤ Create a schedule (so you won't waste time).
One of the things I did to get over my laziness and stay on task today was create a schedule. It doesn't have to be official or anything - in fact, it can be as simple as making a list and checking it off as you go.
❤ Get dressed up for everything.
When you look good you feel good and when you feel good you get active! Seriously, I know I'm not the only one who hates to waste a cute outfit. When I get dressed up, you better believe someone is going to see how cute I look! If getting dressed up doesn't get you out of the lazies I don't know how else to help you!
❤ Make plans with friends that won't let you back out.
Ok, so maybe I exaggerated a bit much when I said I couldn't help you, if dressing up wasn't your thing. If dressing up really isn't your thing then just call up the most motivated and active friends you have and hang out. If you're friends are highly motivated people of action then 2 things can happen: either they won't let you back out of plans, or they will rub off on you. If you're lucky both will happen!
❤ Act the 1st time something crosses your mind.
This is pretty self explanatory. The first time a task you have to complete crosses your mind, get up and do it. Laziness is a state of mind. If you give yourself time to talk yourself out of doing something, then guess what? You'll talk yourself out of doing.
❤ Visualize yourself living the life of your dreams 10mins a day.
So here's my "hit em where it hurts" tip of the day. If you ever want to live the life of your dreams you're going to have to get up and get busy. Time waits for no one and neither do dreams! Laziness is a thief and it's stealing your life, dreams, and time. Get up and go get them back! Visualizing myself living the life of my dreams is the kick I need when I'm feeling lazy!
