MacBooks and Macchiatos

There's this thing I've been going through lately.  For a while I would sit down with every intention to blog, but every time I sat down to do it nothing came out. I know it's not blogger burnout, because I have tons of post drafts and ideas. For the longest I couldn't figure out what it was, and then it hit me....

I only want to give my readers the best.  I want every single one of you and every new reader that finds this site to leave this blog inspired.  I want anyone who comes to this blog to truly have a unique and wonderful experience, one that they feel is worth sharing and returning for.

For a minute I thought I had lost myself in my world of blogging, but then I took the time to write down what I like to call "my truths."  I did this simply as a way to get back in touch with myself, my life goals, and my blog goals.  This immediately made me snap out of my funk. See a few of my truths below...

My Truths

❤ I love beautiful things & I'm intrigued by them.

❤ I can be a little little lazy sometimes.

❤ I am very ambitious & have huge dreams.

❤ I want to build and empire

❤ I really love blogging, even though I don't know what to blog about at times.

❤ I truly believe that dreams come true.

❤ I LOVE connecting with creative people. I thrive on it.

❤ I am interested in all things self love, positive energy, and gratitude.

After I did this I felt so much better and I felt much more in tune with what my main goals in life and for this blog are. I thought this would be a good self care activity to share with you because it's such a simple way to center yourself. If you'd like to try it, check it out below.

MacBooks & Macchiatos Self Truths Activity

When you'll find this useful:

❤ If you are feeling a little lost about where you are in life, where you want to go, or who you are.

Here's what you'll do:

❤ Get out a sheet of paper and write down some truths about yourself.

What are my truths?

❤ Your truths can be anything from facts about yourself (preferably positive ones) to the things you love and are insanely passionate about.

How will this help me?

❤ I found that when I did it I was able to center my thoughts. It gave me a sense of peace, guided my thoughts, and reminded me of some of my life goals. I hope that this will help you in the same way.

❤❤❤Creative Tip: Write this out and do it in cursive!❤❤❤

❤ Outfit Details: MelissaChanel Tee, Pastry sneakers, Polka Dot Leggings (Walmart)

❤ Accessories: Bracelets (Forever 21), Necklace (Calypte Collection)

  8. I am so glad you shared this with us! I have recently felt this way about life in general. It seems that every time I began to create something beautiful, I stopped. I didn't. I couldn't. It put me in a little rut, so I found myself reading and journaling to get back to a place where the creative juices would flow again. But this self truths activity you shared is just what the doctor ordered! I am gonna begin my morning writing my truths, as you suggested, in hopes that it will help me get back to ME.

Thank you so much for always being an inspiration! This post was just on time and you look really pretty, btw ;-)

  10. Great posting! I had this funk too, and it was bad since I've only started my blog recently. I felt very discouraged and thought it was an early burnout or lack of creativity, but then I realized that I don't have to have perfect blogs. I'm blogging about me and mine, which are definitely far from perfection but still beautiful :)
It's the little imperfections that make us perfect.
