Gratitude With a Shot of Style

CAUTION....the project I'm about to share with you requires FAITH & a spirit of FUN!

Ok so let's get right to it. If you've been following this blog you know by now that I am big on gratitude. Gratitude literally changed my life a few months ago, but that's another story for another time!  Today I wanted to share with you a fun little DIY or as I like to call it, GIY (Glam it Yourself) called a Gratitude Box (also known as a wish box).

A Gratitude Box is used to express gratitude throughout the day for all of the things you are grateful for in your life. The fun twist about the Gratitude Box is that it can also be used to bring the things or experiences you want into your life.  Be careful not to over think the Gratitude Box or think of it as magical or having power. Let's be clear here, YOU hold the power to making it work. The box is simply there to hold what you put in it, to make gratitude a little more tangible and fun, but to remind you that gratitude is a NECESSARY part of life. Check out how to make & use a Gratitude Box below.

You'll Need:

❤ Faith
❤ The ability to let go & have fun
❤ A box with a lid
❤ Duck Tape (the decorative kind)
❤ Scissors
❤ Paper

What to Do:

❤ Once you've found the box of your choice, decorate it ( I used leopard duck tape) to your liking.   Make it attractive so that you'll love seeing and using it.

❤ Cut a slit in the top of the lid of the box.
❤ Cut your paper into little slips.

How To Use It:

❤ As often as possible write down something you are grateful for and drop it into the box
❤ If there is something that you want or are praying for, write it down as if you already have it in present tense (i.e - Thank you God for my new job as a _________, I am so happy and so grateful for it.)
❤ Have faith! If you have decided to add things you want to the box, it is crucial to have faith that those things have already happened.

NOTE: This is just a fun activity used to express gratitude and exercise faith. Remember not to look to this as a a fix all or something that is magic. Feel free to say thank you or to actually say Thank You God!

Have fun My Loves and let me know how it works out for you!
