Last Friday I talked about turning my home into my dream space & then I realized, um yeah...no dream space is happening without a little de-cluttering! Me and clutter have been friends for way too long and I'm ready to kick him to the curb. I mean how can a girl dream when she's surrounded by mess? Even though I didn't want to bring the year in with clutter, I did so I've decided not to let another month pass without first de-cluttering and organizing my entire apartment.
Did you de-clutter your apartment for the new year? Let me tell you the task seems so daunting. So here's what I've decided to do. First up, create a plan! Genius right? No, really, I need a plan before I dive into my piles of hidden treasure. Second, create a pile for things to keep and things to donate or throw away. Third, take inventory of the things I have. Last, assign a space for everything.
Once I have a clean palate to work with I'll work on making my dream space whimsical, magical, and glamorous. Until then, I found some cool charts here and here to help with deciding what to keep and what to through away, as well as a day to day de-cluttering chart. Here, here, and here are ways to organize any home. So here goes nothing, operation clean space dream space!

DeleteI am trying to go through the same process, but I haven't really made a plan, which I think is the problem! I think that's exactly what I need to do. And then one step at a time I will de-clutter and then I can also create my dream space!

I declutter routinely twice a year during spring and autumn cleaning. I have also learned that only buying things that you really need, and timeless clothes saves you a lot of clutter in the first place.
