Beauty On the Blog: African Pride Hair Care Ultimate Beauty Social

This past weekend I got the chance to attend the African Pride Hair Care Ultimate Beauty Social.  The event was held in Charlotte, NC at the Aloft Charlotte Uptown Epicenter. My blogger bestie Melissa Chanel and blogger Amanda G. were the official hosts for the social. This was the first of many events to be held by the brand that will be taking it's Ultimate Beauty Social tour city to city celebrating it's hair care products.

To kick off the event, guests were treated to brunch, music, and mingling.

After a little eating and mingling Charlene Bastien (Strength of Nature National Marketing Director) spoke about the African Pride Hair Care products and vision. She shared that the brand celebrates all textures of hair and truly believes that everyone should be able to experience quality hair care products at affordable prices.

Ms. Camilla Crews (African Pride Content Manager),  gave us a brief overview of the products the brand currently offers. Ms. Crews spoke of her own hair journey acknowledging the work it takes to create a hair care routine and identify proper hair care products. According to Ms. Crews, your journey to finding the perfect combination of hair products is like finding a good mate. We all agreed!

Next up were the lovely blogger hosts who were very open about the initial challenges they faced after deciding to go natural as well as the triumphs they've experienced as a result of their decision. Melissa shared the importance of focusing on the health of your hair instead of worrying about it's length. Amanda echoed this sentiment and encouraged everyone to try new things with their hair including colors and cuts.

The floor was then opened to guest who discussed everything from bedroom hair to hair in the work place.

As a parting gift, guests were treated to African Pride gift bags filled with several full sized products to try. Check out all of the goodies below.

I had an amazing time at the Ultimate Beauty Social and heard many wonderful things about the African Pride hair care line.I am excited to give these products a try, because I've been itching to perfect my natural hair care routine. The social provided a great opportunity for bloggers and and non bloggers alike to connect and talk about the things that matter to them the most when it comes to hair and hair care products. Major thank you to African Pride Hair Care and The Garner Circle for a great experience.
